Getting back into the swing of things....

Finally I am able to start crafting and blogging again. Well blogging mostly. The whole point of blogging was to keep myself on track with my guilty pleasure. Over time my career took over and after my career came to a halt, I had to switch gears. That wasn't easy.

Trying to find myself and getting lost in my projects wasn't working. I would have complete scrappers block. It was difficult to even create cards. After watching a youtube videos, that's when I noticed I was getting my creative mojo back.

When I created an Instagram account for my completed projects (my friends and family were really annoyed with what I was posting), I decided to go back into blogging.

So with that being said, here's my first post. Not a productive one but at least it's a start. I will be updating the look of my blog soon. Follow me on instagram: @paperluv, happy crafting!

Wow...It's been forever!

Haven't be on here in a long time!!! I've been on a scrapbooking hiatus since I had a roommate and now, no roommate!!! My fiance and I got our own place so I've been slowly getting into it. The plus is, I got a scrapbooking room out of our new place.

Just a few projects I've worked on since I got a scraproom:

Some of the layouts I worked on NSD. I'll be posting more stuff. Thanks for stopping by!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

Hey Everyone!!! It feels like forever since I posted a blog!!! Alot has been going on, where shall I start?!?!

1. The organizer of Scrap Happy stepped down. No one in our group wanted to become organizer and so.....I made it official & now I'm the organizer!!! Yea!!!!

2. Was trying to get the whole organizer thing down, it took me forever. But I managed!

3. Coming up with events, new ideas for the group, & working on projects has gotten me in work overload.

As you can see in the photo:

I haven't even started on organizing my scrapping area!!! It looks like a hurricane went through my little alcove. That will be my next project.

Last week Sunday I hosted a Christmas Swap meetup. It was a good event though there were only 5 people who've participated. I was hoping for more, though it's better than only just 2 people. I got to meet other people that were in our group. Not like I don't like the usual members, it's just nice to see new faces especially from the group.

Here's one of the cards that I did:

This is one of the many stamps I brought up from Hawaii. On the top it says, "Mele Kalikimaka." In Hawaiian it means, Merry Christmas. I bought this stamp from a stamp expo that's held every 3-4 months. The company's name is Mari and Me. This is their link: http://mariandme.com/

Here's the finishing project!!! I found this card idea on youtube. Yes, I was bored at work and stumbled on a card tutorial. Another stamp from home is the hibiscus. I bought that from Taj Clubhouse. It's a little gift shop that also specializes in rubber stamping/card making.

I'll be posting photos of the card swap very soon. Right now...I'm kinda on a deadline for one of my scrap challenges. You'll see the end result in my next blog. Hopefully it won't take me 3 weeks to post another entry!!! Till then, see ya soon!!!

Happy June!!!

Can't you believe it?!?! It's somewhat the middle of the year!!!! Also...in 16 days is my birthday!!! Enough about that....what does this pic:
and this pic
have in common?!?! It makes for a really cool project!!! Check it out!!!

Isn't neat?!?! I made a mini album!!!

These are the inner pages:

Again...possibly making this into a scrapbook class for the meetup. Please...please!!! Tell me what all you think!!!

*sigh*OMG!!! To add onto some of the drama....Medium my favorite show....is going to be moved to CBS. I was like.."What the heck?!?!" Now when I go to Universal Studios I won't be able to see the set. How rude of NBC is cancel that show & have be replaced with another network. Ugh, I'm just worried their not going to keep the writers & all that stuff. And another ugh!!!! Well I'm done ranting...till then, see ya soon!!!!

I may have the sniffles but....

I'm still scrappin!!! Yes, I am sick. After my weekend with the future in-laws...I got sick. I believe it was the children...but I'll never know!!! Anyways check out my complete project:

This was actually my first time doing this. I figured why not give it a try since I have all the supplies to do it. This is actually going to my girlfriend in Hawaii for NSD (National Scrapbooking Day). I know so late!!! Well, better late then never.

Here's another altered letter I made...unlike the project above which is wood, this is chipboard.

I really didn't want to over do the project with the embellishments. The focal point is the picture of my friend and her daughter doing sign language together.

For the month of June, there will 3 crops & 2 card swaps. Click on the meetup link to check us out or to attend any of our events. Once again...time to scrapbook!!! See ya soon!!!

happy croppin!!!

Yea!!!! Today's crop was a success!!! Majority of the people who RSVP'd came and we all got stuff done. You should check it out on our Meetup website.

Speaking of the crop, I was able to get my project done.

You like?!?! I'm trying to get project ideas for classes. Please comment me or e-mail. This came out better than I expected. Most of my altered projects are albums & tins. It was nice to do something different.

Next crop is June 20 at the Glendale Public Library. I might add a make-n-take to this crop....I have a lot of ideas, I just don't know which one I'm going to use. Just keep checking our meetup website.

Well...it's time to scrapbook!!! See ya soon!!!
